Do I Believe In A God?…

Recently I was asked if I believed in God, this is what I believe answers that question in more detail.

To begin things I am agnostic but I lean towards those that don’t believe in a God. In all honesty I don’t see the point in believing in a God as its just stupid. The only reasoning behind us humans believing that a supreme being exists is for the fact of explaining any and all things that we consider to be in an unknown category. Everything in this unknown category is slowly being explained through the use of science.

I don’t mean to piss off anyone as I’m pretty sure I could do that any day or time, I only mean to start up conversations dealing with God and religion.

To me if there is a God he surely is dictated by what society deems to be acceptable. To think of God this way surely puts him below the masses but if you take time to think about God this way you’ll understand that God was created by mankind the same way cities, society, democracy, and everything else that has been touched by the human race.

I’m not trying to say believing in God is down right wrong but I will gladly say it’s stupid to think that there is a God. Now I know their are plenty of material to prove the existence of God and very little to disprove the existence of God but that is where everyone is entitled to their own opinion.

If you wish to sound off your opinion do so in the comments so everyone can see your opinion, without people expressing their opinion mankind would not be where we are today.

Midterms, Religion, Identity, Technology + More?

Alright, so it has been a while since I’ve updated this blog. As it is October, Halloween is right around the corner and so are midterms. My midterms consist of my Computer Science intro class, Political Science, and Calculus 2. Each one of the exams will be a struggle of sorts, with my hardest being Calculus. My Computer Science exam will be easy as it reminds me of HTML so much even though it is all C++. So apart from having midterms this entire week, I still have to attempt to catch up with my collateral and prepare for a poetry slam that Cody and I will be putting on here at the Residence Hall.

On other things, if you received a phone call from me last week just asking one question, please don’t freak, you are all helpful that I called as it helped me discover my identity. It was a long journey to finally realize who I was and I am still getting there. Thanks to the help of my few close friends, I’ve come to the conclusion on who I am and I am proud of who I am. However, from realizing my identity, I’ve also come to the conclusion that religion isn’t something for me. I love the whole hymns and all but I’m not religious enough and wasn’t raised to be religious in the least bit so as of now I am denouncing the fact that I claim to be anything that deals with religion or any religious terms as it is.

Woot, now my favorite part of this post, technology! So I’ve been a Computer Science Major for about only a week or two and I am not looking forward to how my schedule will be next semester as it conflicts with amazing professors that teach other classes that I am needing to take. But as it stands so far I am looking forward to completing this degree and becoming a webmaster. That reminds me, I might have a client for being a web designer, and I shouldn’t say to much about who the client is or what his idea is but I know that this could be my big break in getting some more practice in web design and web mastering (Can’t wait for HTML5).

Well that is what I’ve been up to, I have a few more tasks to catch up that deal with my collateral as being a Residential Assistant and all, and I’m still searching for people to do another vlog with me as I want to post one up before the year is over. I have no clue what the new video blog will be about but once I have an ideal of what it can be on I’ll be able to narrow down my choices on people to include in the video.

Take care everyone, till next time.

Believe, Just Believe

I’ve noticed recently that the days that I read the bible I end up being more satisfied with life and I actually enjoy myself. Where as the days I don’t read the bible I end up returning to my old habits of procrastinating and not being 100% sure of myself. I guess having faith does pay off in not only emotional standards but also with life in general. I know that once I finish reading the bible which I’m at the beginning of the new testament, I may have a better understanding of myself and of the world around me. I have to say I am one not to usually place so much faith in religion but at last I have to thank Lynz for being there to help show me the way. So many people have come and gone in my life all with their own perspective on life and how religion is either wrong or right. Every single person would always force their views onto me, and I have to say Lynz was the first person or at least one of the first people in my life that didn’t force their point of view. But rather she was willing to explain and help me, of all people, understand her point of view and allowed for me to adjust the point of view with mine. I’m not sure why I feel so different, I’d like to say it is because I feel like life is getting better but I might have to go and say it is because of letting the Lord into my heart through the bible. I don’t like being one of those people that preach about how great God is and all but I have to say it does feel good knowing their is someone you can turn to that will always be there even after death.
