The Repercussions of my Actions

It really stinks when you know you’re so close to finishing a degree and then life, or basically me, throws a wrench into my plans and throws the plan off slightly. To bring you all up to speed I’m getting a degree in mathematics secondary education and I would be graduating from undergrad this May but now I won’t graduate until December.

Since I am not graduating till December it has been taking its effects on me. Job offers left and right are in front of me for interviews and I have to decline all the interview offers I’m getting. Because I’m seeing these consequences from past actions I’m more determined to get a position after I graduate and make it into grad school. Even with my poor study skills and grades I’m still wanting to prove not to anyone else but to myself that I can and will earn a Ph. D in Mathematical Education.

Do I Believe In A God?…

Recently I was asked if I believed in God, this is what I believe answers that question in more detail.

To begin things I am agnostic but I lean towards those that don’t believe in a God. In all honesty I don’t see the point in believing in a God as its just stupid. The only reasoning behind us humans believing that a supreme being exists is for the fact of explaining any and all things that we consider to be in an unknown category. Everything in this unknown category is slowly being explained through the use of science.

I don’t mean to piss off anyone as I’m pretty sure I could do that any day or time, I only mean to start up conversations dealing with God and religion.

To me if there is a God he surely is dictated by what society deems to be acceptable. To think of God this way surely puts him below the masses but if you take time to think about God this way you’ll understand that God was created by mankind the same way cities, society, democracy, and everything else that has been touched by the human race.

I’m not trying to say believing in God is down right wrong but I will gladly say it’s stupid to think that there is a God. Now I know their are plenty of material to prove the existence of God and very little to disprove the existence of God but that is where everyone is entitled to their own opinion.

Not even a week…

Not even a week and I already want to find a new place to stay for the summer. My buddy is driving me crazy with his stupidity. Every conversation we have it ends up with him being right, now I know I’m one to always think I’m right usually but I make sure to always listen to the other side besides mine, which he doesn’t do…he is just “always right”. One major annoyance that he doesn’t realize yet is that even though he likes to let in some light through the windows he doesn’t seem to understand that their is enough light in the apartment without the windows open which means that the A/C can be set to like 75+ and it won’t turn on at all throughout the day. He decides, hey I like it cold so I should set the A/C to 70 and no higher and leave the fans blazing at full speed to keep it cold. Reality Check: It’s TEXAS get used to 90 degree weather so you might as well push the A/C temperature to 80+ to save on the electric bill…this fool I swear.

Man I know I’m just complaining but seriously I need to find a new place to possibly stay since he is getting to me little by little. Take today for example, he said he started to notice ants around in the apartment saying they have never been in the apartment since he’s been living here. I call false, because I’m almost non-existant in this apartment as I try to keep my part in this apartment on the low key so I don’t interrupt how things are already here. This fool is going to drive me crazy if he blames me for shit going wrong here in this apartment.

All I have to say is I can see why his roommates tell him to or turn up the A/C themselves because they don’t want to pay a ton of money on their electric bill. I now know why they each pitch in $25 a month for the electric bill, because of this fool thinking he has all the money in the world with his lazy ass not having no dang job. Fool, I don’t care if you want to focus on your studies or not, you should at least have a job or something that you can do while their are no classes. Lazy ass white boy, don’t know how to not be lazy.

I need a new place to crash for the summer possibly.

Respect to Me

Why do people think respect has to be given a certain way. To me respect can be given to others in many different forms, even if a person appears to be not be giving respect. I like to believe that I fall into the small minority of people where even if I don’t show any respect towards someone it is because respect is not needed to be shown or even told. I feel like to give respect almost all the time is just a false face to show. To me respect is what you get from a person in the time you need it. Most will probably believe this is a lie as they think of me as a jack-ass but in reality they haven’t shown or given me any sign that they need my respect 100% yet. So to all those that feel like they get no respect, you do, just not my full respect. I tend to like the saying (if I can remember it correctly): Just because people show they are mad at one another doesn’t mean they don’t care. Which to me rings true, just because you may hate someone doesn’t mean you don’t care for that person. To go through this life expecting everyone to give respect a certain way is absurd as their is no way for someone else that has received respect in a different way to provide respect in a different way than what they were given. So to close this random post, respect is that glimmer of light in everyone, whether you believe someone like me actually has respect for others or not and if others do is your call but just remember their are other ways to show respect than what the majority of people are probably used to.
